Moscow, Russia, 19/05/2012. Russian grandmaster and former World Blitz Chess Champion Alexander Grischuk reacts to an attacking move by his opponent, the German-built KUKA Monster chess robot. The match was a warm up before the main contest between KUKA Monster and Russia’s CHESSka robot for the title of Absolute World Robot Chess Champion. KUKA Monster easily beat the human Russian grandmaster, but was in turn comprehensively defeated by the Russian robot.
